Glenwood Ln. & Bridge Maint. Assoc. Meeting 9-15-16

Meeting was held at the Johansen’s home on Sept 15th, 2016 at 6:30.

Members in attendance: Gary miller, Mike Smith, John Mcginnis, Jaben Carsey, Sean Senko, and Scott and Crys Thorsen.

Pres. Jim Johansen. V.P. Carol Stewart, Sec/treas. Shelley Johansen.

President called meeting to order at 6:40 pm.

Minutes of last meeting on 10-03-15 were read by Shelley J. and approved.

Treasurer’s report was read by Shelley J. and approved.

Acct. Balance as of 10/29/16 $12,027.02, currently in arrears for 2016 $300.00, and

$150.00 in arrears for 2014-15.

As a reminder to all, our current dues for 2017 became due on Sept. 2nd 2016.

Our expenses so far for 2016 were $2,483.97. Our total annual dues now are $2,900.00.

We spent $900.00 oiling the road, $880.00 for rock; Parr lumber $256.09 for the back

stop for the rock pile, located on the corner of Rob & Ronda Crume’s property, (A big thank you to Rob and Ronda for letting us use that space.) road maintenance Pd. To Jacob Lorenz $300.00, repairs to the P.O. boxes (water leaks) $12.37, office supplies $110.54, brush killer$24.97. and about $72.57 for the elect. light pole for a Total of ( $2,556.54.) We collected $2,600.00 so far for this year.

We would like to welcome some new neighbors to Glenwood. They are Scott and Crys Thorsen. They bought Cathy Allen’s home. We will miss Cathy, she was a great neighbor and friends with many here in Glenwood.

We had a general talk of our road maintenance and everyone agreed that it is holding up well.

There was a general discussion about how we can keep kids under 16 from riding motorbikes on Glenwood Ln. due to the Liability.

A number of neighbors have expressed concern over seeing these young boys riding without a helmet and doing wheelies and spinning around in circles, at SPEEDS well over 30 mi. / hr. ETC. on Glenwood Ln. and our private roads and driveways. We would like to remind parents/ grandparents/ guardians/ babysitters/ that we have 10 mi. / hr. posted SIGNS as WELL, and no one unlicensed under 16 should be riding uninsured motorbikes on our roads. Most importantly we don’t want to see anyone get hurt!

Jim reported that he spoke to Ken Adamson again about the bridge abutments repairs. Ken

Said he was sorry, they didn’t have the permits to get it done this past summer. Ken has cancer

And will be retiring soon, so we will be dealing with a new B.P. A. rep. next summer.

The office for Sec/treas. was open and Leora Gregory volunteered via e-mail, Jim

Nominated her and it was 2nd and approved by all. Thank you Leora, this will help keep us from having to look at hiring a management co. Meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm.
