Glenwood Homeowners Association

Serving the Glenwood community in Gales Creek, Oregon, Washington County

Glenwood's Story Flows From 1843 to Today

This corner of Oregon's Coastal Range tells a story older than any road or fence. The forest here rose from the ashes of the 1933 Tillamook Burn, a testament to resilience and renewal. Tributaries weave through valleys once walked by Native tribes who honored salmon as sacred lifelines, and the same waters still carry that cycle today. Towering firs, maples, and cedar frame a landscape shaped by time, where quiet creeks and moss-covered banks speak of endurance and grace. Gales Creek carries the name of Joseph Gale, a sailor and trapper who helped establish Oregon's provisional government in 1843, a reminder that this corridor has long connected people and water. Living here means sharing space with history, where the land represents strength, continuity, and the simple truth that nature finds its way back.

Glenwood HOA, est. 1981

In 1981, neighbors formed the Glenwood Homeowners Association to care for what we all share: the roads and bridges that carry us home through the forest. The Association holds the easement agreement and the work of upkeep, so every property stays reachable through every season and emergency services can find a clear path when it matters most. We are a community that values privacy, nature, and the quiet distance from city life; the same qualities that drew us to this place. Annual dues stay modest, collected fairly, and spent openly on road and bridge maintenance, a shared commitment that keeps access secure and transparent for every resident.
